How laptop EMI works at Karthik Computers

You do not need to pay the full price of a laptop up front. Every new laptop on this page can be bought on EMI in our Chennai store or over WhatsApp, using most credit cards and many debit cards. No-cost EMI is available on selected banks and tenures, which means the bank's interest is absorbed as a discount and you pay only the product price divided across the months.

How it works: choose the laptop, tell us your card and the tenure you want (3, 6, 9 or 12 months are the most common), and we share the exact monthly amount and any bank offer running that week. The EMI is set up at payment through the card network's EMI facility; you still receive a GST invoice for the full amount, in your name or your company's.

EMI is a good fit for students and first-job buyers who want a better laptop than their cash budget allows — for example moving from a Core i3 to a Core i5 with 16 GB RAM for a few hundred rupees more per month. Ask us on WhatsApp for the EMI on any model.

Questions people ask

Is no-cost EMI really interest-free?

On no-cost EMI offers, the bank's interest is given back to you as an equal discount, so the total you pay equals the laptop price. Banks may charge a small processing fee and GST on that fee; we tell you before you commit.

Which cards are accepted for laptop EMI?

Most credit cards from major banks, and debit-card EMI for eligible customers of several banks. Share your card type on WhatsApp and we will confirm eligibility and the current offer.

Can I get EMI without a credit card?

Debit-card EMI is available for pre-approved customers of some banks. Consumer-finance EMI options can also be arranged in store. Ask us what applies to you.

Do I get a GST invoice when I buy on EMI?

Yes. The GST invoice is issued for the full laptop price, regardless of how you pay.

Can I buy a refurbished laptop on EMI?

Card EMI is generally available on refurbished laptops too. Check with us for the specific model.
