When should you replace a laptop battery, screen or keyboard?

Signs your laptop battery needs replacement

• Battery percentage drops suddenly or the laptop shuts down even at 20–30%.
• Battery lasts only a few minutes on full charge.
• Battery is swollen or the bottom panel/trackpad is bulging.
• Laptop works only when the charger is plugged in.

• Model number: Usually printed on a sticker at the bottom of the laptop, under the battery flap (on older models) or on the original box.
• Photos: Take clear photos of:
  • Any cracks, lines or flicker on the screen.
  • Swelling or gaps around the battery area or trackpad.
  • Damaged or missing keys on the keyboard.
• Short description: Mention how the problem started (drop, liquid spill, age, etc.).
